Vehicle crime

Dear Residents,

We are writing to make residents aware of two vehicle crime incidents that occurred in the area on Saturday morning 26th September.

Access was gained to a vehicle on Rossendale Avenue and items were stolen from inside. The victim reported hearing a bang at approximately 4:30am, which may be connected to the incident.

A second vehicle was also targeted on Whinchat Street during the same morning at around 05:50am, where access was gained to the vehicle. 

To assist with our enquiries, we are asking residents to check any CCTV, Ring doorbell, dashcam, or other security footage they may have covering the period around 4:30am on Saturday morning. Any footage showing suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity in the area could be of significant assistance.

We also wish to make residents aware of these incidents and encourage everyone to ensure vehicles are locked, valuables are removed, and any suspicious activity is reported.
