Lancaster, Morecambe and Wyre rural task force are currently investigating a number of burglaries affecting rural communities. Our investigations remain ongoing, and we continue to pursue all available lines of enquiries.

We encourage members of the public to report anything that may assist us, no matter how insignificant it may seem. If you notice anything suspicious or out of place, please report it. Information from our rural communities is invaluable, and your Rural Task Force will follow up on all reports received.

We would also encourage residents to review their security measures. Ensure gates, outbuildings and vehicles are secured, remove keys from vehicles and machinery, and consider using security lighting, CCTV, tracking devices and property marking where possible. Store valuable tools and equipment out of sight and make sure any suspicious activity, vehicles or individuals are reported promptly.
