Join Lancashire Constabulary, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire, and the Lancashire Partnership Against Crime (LANPAC) on Thursday 12th November at Blackburn Rovers Football Club for a conference exploring the growing threat of cybercrime and fraud. From AI-generated deepfakes and online scams to doorstep fraud and rogue trader activity, criminals are constantly evolving their methods to target individuals, businesses and communities. This conference will provide practical insight into emerging threats, helping attendees recognise warning signs, reduce risk, and better protect the people and communities they serve. The event will feature expert speakers covering the latest fraud and cybercrime trends, the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, and the real-world impact of offending. Highlights include Alex Wood, a lived experience speaker and former fraudster, sharing first-hand insight into the tactics used to deceive victims; Ben Sefton, Co-Founder of Insightful AI, discussing how organisations can embrace AI safely and responsibly; and Lancashire Constabulary's Economic Crime Unit, who will provide practical prevention advice, outline emerging fraud and cybercrime trends, and share how individuals and organisations can reduce their risk. Nathan Parker will also open and close the conference with powerful spoken word performances reflecting the day's themes. Whether you work in safeguarding, local government, education, the voluntary sector, law enforcement or business, this conference will provide valuable knowledge, practical advice and opportunities to connect with professionals from across Lancashire. The day will also include a partner exhibition area showcasing services and support available to individuals, communities and organisations, alongside dedicated networking opportunities. Places are free but must be booked in advance.
