Good Afternoon,
500 knives secured in local knife surrender bin
This week, we visited Waterfoot to empty the local knife surrender bin, helping to ensure unwanted knives and bladed items are disposed of safely rather than ending up in the wrong hands.
Thanks to Lancashire residents choosing to dispose of items responsibly, more than 500 bladed weapons and sharp items have now been removed from circulation through the scheme.
Remember, knife bins aren't just for dangerous weapons. They provide a safe and anonymous way to dispose of a range of bladed and sharp items, including kitchen knives, pocketknives, and scissors, helping to prevent injury and keep unwanted blades out of our communities.
