Local, interesting and relevant

Good evening,

You will most likely have seen more officers within Blackburn Town Centre following an increased level of anti-social behaviour.

Our neighbourhood policing team are focused on identifying and targeting individuals responsible for persitent ASB, criminailty and disorder. Our approach includes:

Targeted high-visibilty patrols in identified hotspot locations including Blackburn Bus Station and Cathedral Grounds to disrupt offending and provide reassurance.

Robust enforcement against indiviudals commiting criminal offences, including arrests, stop searches and prosection where appropiate.

Partnership working with local authorities and other agenices to pursue longer term solutions, including civil enforecement measures.

Working closely with buisnesses, gathering intelligence, reviewing reported incidents and CCTV, and identifying those responsible.

Our Town Centre should be somewhere people feel safe to work, shop or spend their leisure time. A number of individuals will not be allowed to undermine the confidence of the wider community.

We ask anyone to report incidents rather than assume someone else has already done so.

THIS IS NOT SIMPLY ABOUT INCREASING PATROLS. IT IS ABOUT IDENTIFTING OFFENDERS, GATHERING INTELLIGENCE AND TAKING ACTION WITH PARTNERS TO PREVENT FURTHER INCIDENTS.

Thank you for your time. :)

Kind regards,
