Stolen vehicle - Salus Street

Good morning,

Yesterday, just before 06:30, we received a report of a vehicle stolen from Salus Street.

The vehicle was left running with the keys inside. The victim went in to their property for approximately 5 minutes, and came out to find the vehicle had been stolen.

The vehicle was a white Honda.

If you have any footage or information that you think may be of interest to our investigation, please reply to this email.

At this time of year, we naturally see an increase in car thefts of this nature, where the unoccupied has been left running. It only takes a matter of seconds for an opportunist to see an unoccupied vehicle and take it. When the temperatures drop, please allow time in the morning to defrost your vehicle completely. Setting the car running and leaving it to continue with your morning routine leaves you very susceptible to vehicle theft.

The few extra minutes added on to the beginning of your day to stay with your car whilst it heats up is worth it.

Thank you
