Good afternoon,

Darwen Neighbourhood Police Team, Together Housing and staff from the Community Safety Team have been knocking on doors, speaking to residents, and distributing leaflets and stickers in the Cambridge Street area of Darwen with regards to concerns from a local resident regarding cold calling.

We understand that this activity may cause some concern and we would encourage everyone to remain vigilant and take a few simple precautions.

Do not feel obliged to answer the door.

Never provide personal or financial information to someone you do not know.

If you feel uncomfortable, do not engage with the caller.

Please report any suspicious activity to the police via 101 or online reporting.

Check in with elderly or vulnerable neighbours who may be concerned.
