Response to your raised concern

You may have noticed an increased police presence in the area earlier this evening, and we wanted to provide an update on the activity that was taking place.

Acting on concerns and information raised by local residents, officers identified and stopped a suspicious vehicle. Following enquiries, it was established that the driver was not in possession of a valid driving licence, had no insurance, and was found in possession of a quantity of suspected cannabis.

We understand the impact that anti-social driving and drug-related activity can have on our communities. Please be assured that officers continue to carry out proactive patrols and vehicle stops, acting on the intelligence and information provided by members of the public.

We are grateful for your continued support and encourage you to keep reporting concerns to us, as the information you provide helps us take positive action to keep our communities safe.

As a result of this incident, one male has been arrested and remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
