Information sent on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary

Dear Citizen

We wanted to let you know that, after extensive damage to the fixed camera on the A681 Newchurch Road in Stacksteads last year, the Lancashire Road Safety Partnership is arranging to replace the camera with a new style fixed camera and housing.

This will be installed week commencing Monday, 1st July 2019. All works are scheduled to take place overnight between 8pm and 6am in order to keep disruption to traffic to a minimum. There will be some noise during the installation due to there being structural work carried out to the footway. The contractors will endeavour to keep the noise to a minimum, completing as much work as possible before 10pm.

It is expected that the installation of the new housing will take around a week with works scheduled to be completed by 5th July 2019.

The fixed camera is still easily recognisable by its yellow colour. The picture is an example of what the camera housing will look like.
