Flooding in Lancaster

Alert message sent 05/08/2020 10:07:00

Information sent on behalf of Lancashire Constabulary

Dear Citizen

Due to this morning’s flooding in Lancaster, sheltered accommodation in Lentworth Drive has been evacuated and residents moved to St Paul’s Parish Hall in Scotforth Road. We are receiving numerous reports of concerned family members attempting to make contact with their relatives and some are coming to the scene which is unfortunately tying up emergency service resources. We can confirm all residents are accounted for, safe and well and with representatives from the affected properties and police officers. We would ask that people do not come to the scene but instead make contact with the St Paul’s Hall.
